Sports Flooring Care & Maintenance
At Flowers Flooring we recommend frequent care and maintenance to keep your new rubber flooring looking great. While you may not have a lot of time to invest in upkeep, following a few simple and easy care and maintenance tasks will ensure the longevity of your rubber flooring.
Daily and Preventative Care
Flowers Flooring suggests establishing a preventative maintenance routine for your rubber flooring that works well with your lifestyle and existing cleaning schedule. Rubber flooring can be cleaned much like carpeting. Daily vacuuming is encouraged to keep dust to a minimum. If the rubber flooring can not be fully cleaned with a vacuum, damp mopping with a mild soap and water solution will be sufficient. If your rubber flooring is glue down, it’s important not to get the flooring to wet, as this may have an adverse effect on the adhesive system employed. Be sure to use a clean mop. This will keep your floor smelling fresh and clean. Do not use any solvent or oil style cleaners to clean the flooring such as Pine Sol, Paint Thinner, WD-40, etc., as these chemical type cleaners will damage the flooring.
