When your sports or rubber flooring crew arrives, an adult member of your household should greet them. This person should be age 18 or older and should be able to show the crew to the work area. The lead installer will provide you with a walkthrough of the job to give you a clear sense of the work involved and how much time the project will take. To ensure everyone’s safety and to help the job go seamless, keep children and pets away from the work area until the job is complete. Feel free to ask your lead installer any questions you might have and get recommendations for how and when to return your furniture and start using your rubber flooring freely.

Getting Ready for Your Sports and Rubber Flooring Installation
Preparation is important for a successful rubber flooring installation. Please consult with your Flowers Flooring specialist for full instructions. In the meantime, these are the steps you can take to help make the process go seamlessly.
Your old flooring may need to be removed, and there may be some work involved in getting the exposed surface ready for your new rubber flooring installation. This is especially true if you have carpet or are removing existing glued down floor or tile. It’s always a good idea to have your floors properly prepped by a professional. An experienced flooring specialist will know exactly what a “ready for rubber flooring” surface looks like and will be able to assist you with the disposal of your old flooring. Keep in mind that you can install interlocking rubber floor tiles over most existing hard surface types.
Flower Flooring will remove all the furniture out of the rooms where your new sports rubber flooring will be installed. This includes any gym equipment such as ellipticals, treadmills, weights, etc. Our crew will also put everything back in place once your new flooring is installed. Our specialists are prepared to handle heavy items or items requiring special care. We’ll also replace quarter round or shoe molding, and we have the ability to add baseboard replacement onto your project as a specialty service.
