Luxury Vinyl Installation - What to Expect
While vinyl installation is simple enough for most DIYers to handle, we still recommend trusting professional installers with the job. Our flooring specialists at Flowers Flooring are efficient and experienced when it comes to vinyl installation. Read on to learn more about the process!
Preparing for installation
We will move all the furniture out of the rooms where your new tile or stone flooring will be installed, and back when we're done. Our specialists are prepared heavy items or items requiring special care. We'll also replace shoe molding, and we have the ability to add baseboard replacement onto your project as a specialty service. This can all be discussed with your estimate technician during the project planning phase.
You might also need an underlayment, which is another detail we'll discuss beforehand. Your subfloor will need to be completely clean, flat, and smooth.
During and after the installation
Once your subfloor is ready, we'll get to work on installing your vinyl. You'll need to have someone who is at least 18 years old home to greet the installation team and show them to the work area. Be sure to keep children and pets away from the work area until the job is finished!
After your installation is finished, you'll want to establish proper ventilation, especially if you're sensitive to the smell of chemicals. From there, it's up to you to care for and maintain your vinyl. Be sure to see our vinyl care and maintenance page for more information.
